Financial Accountability

ISOH/IMPACT is a unique ministry dedicated to serving others. We are a faith-based organization with a written statement of faith clearly confirming our commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the evangelical Christian doctrine.

We believe that each one of us should use whatever gift he has received to serve others (1 Peter 4:10) and that our acts of compassion will touch the hearts of those we serve. Furthermore, we believe that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. (1 Corinthians 4:2)

ISOH/IMPACT is governed by a Board of Directors, the majority of whom are not family members or relatives. Our board meets at least three times a year and communicates monthly to discuss and establish policies, set budgets, oversee operations, and review ministry accomplishments.

ISOH/IMPACT believes in financial accountability. We have the responsibility to be faithful stewards with the resources that God has placed in our hands. ISOH/IMPACT strives to operate with integrity and openness in our financial practices.

Our financial statements are prepared with generally accepted accounting principles and are reviewed by an audit committee. We also obtain an independent annual audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards by the certified public accountant firm of Spillman, Hills & Heidebrink, Ltd. Copies of our current audited financial statements are available upon request or can be downloaded from our website.

We believe that it is God’s place to prompt a response to our fund raising appeals; therefore we do not participate in high pressure or manipulative fund raising tactics. We strive to conduct our activities with the highest standards of integrity and try to avoid conflicts of interest.

We strive to operate this ministry without indebtedness that dishonors and hinders the work of God.

We strive to ensure that donations are used for the purpose for which they were raised. Our board has directed that all contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects and that we may assess up to ten percent to be used for administering the gift. Occasionally we receive more contributions for a specific project than needed. When that happens, we use these funds to meet needs that are similar and pressing. Our policy is to meet the needs that God has placed before us.

Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

ISOH/IMPACT receipts all donations showing the fair market value of any good or services provided by the donor.

Out of respect for the privacy of our supporters, we do not donate, sell or rent our mailing list to other groups or individuals for their own use.
