Dear Friend,

Over the past few months, I have been amazed time and again by God's faithfulness. I am reminded especially of the story of Joseph and the warehouses.

"Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea; it was so much that he stopped keeping records because it was beyond measure" (Genesis 41:49, NIV).

While we haven't stopped keeping records at ISOH/IMPACT, we are continually awed by the generosity of people like you. Our warehouse is nearly full, and we continue to collect food, medical supplies, and other basic items to be prepared for disaster. Just as the Egyptians turned to Joseph in their time of famine, families and communities turn to us at ISOH/IMPACT in times of disaster. We share God's love and grace with those who have lost everything.

And that's why we are so committed to Building Today, Changing Tomorrow – we know that the new ISOH/IMPACT Disaster Response Center will allow us to respond stronger, faster, and better to disasters around the world and in our own back yard.

In this month's e-Newsletter, you will read the stories of how you are helping to build the Lord's kingdom by Reaching Out and Serving Others. I want to know how God is working in your life. How have you experienced His faithfulness this past month? Send me an email and tell me your story. I will keep it in strict confidence unless you say I can share it with others. I look forward to hearing from you.

Reaching Out & Serving Others

Rebuilding Lives in Iowa

When floodwaters ravaged Iowa towns last month, they didn't just cause a mess. They destroyed people's homes, their entire livelihoods, and all of their personal belongings. It will take families years to completely recover from the effects of the floods.

flooded homes

That's why ISOH/IMPACT worked so hard to respond quickly and efficiently to the need. Thanks to your support and prayers, we were able to help people more than 10,000 people with food, water, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. Each of these people has their own story of hardship and loss.

One elderly woman and her grandchild stopped by the distribution center in Iowa to pick up some cleaning supplies and rid their house of the mold that had begun to take over. Their home had been flooded, they had little other support, and an already tight budget meant there was nothing left over for rebuilding. Along with the cleaning supplies, we were able to give a small offering toward food for the family. Tears began running down the faces of the grandmother and her grandson. They were hungry, and they had no money for groceries until ISOH/IMPACT responded to their need.

Through your financial donations and generous sacrifice of time as volunteers, we have been able to respond quickly and efficiently to the disaster victims in Iowa. Thank you for helping us to share God's love with those in need by Reaching Out & Serving Others.

Feeding the Hungry in Mexico

rice deliveryA recent shipment of rice pilaf arrived from ISOH/IMPACT to Casa de Los Pobres, one of our ministry partners in Mexico. The rice was distributed to a local feeding program and will go to provide healthy meals for the elderly and destitute. The economic situation continues to worsen in Tijuana, home to Casa de Los Pobres, and many of the elderly and children are left without food. But your financial support helps ensure that we can continue to respond to their hunger with love and compassion. Thank you!

We'd also like to offer a special thank you to Ron Dean for his support in helping transport the rice pilaf from our warehouses in Ohio to California where it could later be taken to Mexico.

Since January of this year, ISOH/IMPACT has been able to send more than 59 shipments of relief and development supplies to those in need around the world and in our own backyard. Thank you for Reaching Out & Serving Others!

Your donation of $50 or even $75 will help us cover transportation costs and ensure that we can continue to respond to the needs of the flood victims.
