Each year, ISOH/IMPACT organizes medical and humanitarian mission teams to deliver services to children and their families who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease and famine. ISOH/IMPACT supports services that address current needs, seeks to accompany the services of medical teams with longer lasting interventions, and networks with local individuals, health care providers, schools, educators, and churches to develop and build long-term relationships for improved sustainability and self-sufficiency.
Volunteer medical and surgical health professionals usually travel at their own expense. Host health care providers and institutions, along with ISOH/IMPACT’s volunteer healthcare professionals, collaborate on patients and share expertise. Other volunteers unpack and prepare medical equipment and medicines, provide transportation, organize patients, and document activities.
ISOH/IMPACT’s ultimate goal in supporting medical interventions is to restore children to full health: emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically through lifestyle evangelism. Achieving this goal will help restore a brighter hope for children and their future.
