The LightHouse (a ministry of ISOH/IMPACT) serves as a sanctuary for sick or injured children and adults… a place for mending broken bodies, bones, and hearts. When a life is in crisis it takes love, prayer, and skilled professionals to help mend it.

Through our LightHouse ministry, ISOH/IMPACT has assisted more than 50 children and adults to receive life-saving medical care. They are able to live in a home environment at LightHouse through their recovery.

LightHouse Girls Dream of Giving Back

ISOH/IMPACT is excited to announce that Shuhra and Marhamat, two residents of the LightHouse, are beginning college classes this fall at Owens Community College! They are very excited to begin working toward achieving their dreams, something that would not have been possible without the assistance of many doctors, nurses, friends, families, and volunteers associated with ISOH/IMPACT.

Why do they want to go to college?

ISOH/IMPACT is excited to see where the Lord leads Shuhra and Marhamat. Both young ladies feel called to make a difference in the lives of people who are hurting or lost.

Shuhra would like to use her education to help improve the lives of other young women in her home country of Afghanistan, while Marhamat plans on studying nursing so that she can help other diabetics like herself. Wherever they go, we know that God is leading Shuhra and Marhamat to do His work.

How can I help?

Please consider partnering with Shuhra and Marhamat by providing financial support for their college education. Their needs will include tuition and lab fees, books, supplies and traveling expenses. Any assistance would be appreciated, though we would like to encourage some of you to consider matching the donations already made.

$500 would cover nearly 4-credit hours or their book and lab fees for a few semesters.

Also, please remember to pray for their continued safety, favor, and provision as they begin this new journey. College is sure to challenge, stretch, and strengthen these young women as they move forward with God’s plan for their lives.
