Emergency Response Medical Team Returns from Haiti

E-mail Print PDF

The first ISOH/IMPACT emergency response medical team has returned from Haiti while other teams are on their way to continue providing critical care to those injured in the January 12 earthquake. People who have yet to receive medical attention continue to arrive arrive with broken bone at our partnering hospital outside of Port-au-Prince.

During their 5 days on the ground in Haiti, the team of 20 doctors and medical personnel were able to perform more than 100 surgeries and tend to more than 1,600 patients. On their final day, they even welcomed a new life when a healthy baby boy was born.

ISOH/IMPACT was in Haiti before the earthquake and we'll still be there long after other relief organizations begin to pack up and move on. Your continued support is vital to providing ongoing critical care to earthquake survivors in Haiti.
